We offer compassionate, client-centered psychiatric treatment that is tailored to your individual needs and currently treat patients 18 and up in both Florida and North Carolina. We work collaboratively with you to create a treatment plan that will include a combination of medication support and therapy interventions. Frequently implemented styles of therapy include: brief solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, supportive therapy, internal family systems therapy, and past life regression therapy. Medications will be prescribed or recommended as necessary to reduce symptoms that interfere with your quality of life. We believe that each client is the expert on their own body, and encourage collaboration throughout the healing process.
At Seekers Psychiatry we believe that life's difficult seasons are not meant to be navigated alone, and with the proper support even a negative experience can be a catalyst for growth and healing. We view mental health as a dynamic, ever-evolving journey that requires an awareness of subliminal root factors and the empowerment to change your narrative. We believe that tending to biological, psychological, and social factors with connection and compassion can assist you in finding your power and your new path. We are committed to supporting you with evidence-based practice to help you grow, connect to your own resilience, and write a new story for yourself.
Healing is a journey and the first step on your new path begins with an intake appointment. This 60-75 minute session allows us to get to know each other, discuss your reasons for seeking psychiatric care, identify current challenges, review personal and health history, and formulate short and long-term goals for your healing process. If medication is prescribed during your initial appointment, you will also receive education on your options for treatment and the risks and benefits of each of these, so you can make an informed decision on your psychiatric care. At each follow-up session, we will evaluate the benefits, drawbacks, and side effects of any medication prescribed while continuing to collaborate with therapeutic interventions to further your growth. Most follow-up appointments are about 30 minutes; however, we can adjust the length based on your personal needs and most effective types of therapy for you.
